Benton Capital Partners (BCP) is the strategic advisory business of M. Rush Benton, the founder, and former CEO of WealthTrust.

Over the course of his 30+ year career in the investment advisory business, Mr. Benton has accumulated a broad range of experience, building two successful investment management organizations that today manage combined assets in excess of $10 billion. 

Through Benton Capital Partners, his extensive experience is available to a group of select clients.  Whether it is helping an owner evaluate options available to maximize the after-tax return on years of hard work, a planning role to help management think through strategic options, or an advisory role in structuring and negotiating a transaction, Benton’s clients benefit from his direct, relevant experience.  

Project Retainer
Some clients prefer to have Benton Capital Partners involved on a specific project, usually requiring a limited engagement of one to three months. These would include, for example, a review of M&A strategy, the development of an internal succession plan, or help negotiating a transaction.

Annual Retainer
Other clients prefer an annual retainer contract, in which BCP is available throughout the year to act as an advisor to senior  management. For the price of a typical administrative position, you will have an experienced, unbiased executive available throughout the year to not only work on specific projects as needed, but to provide you with a defacto partner in decision making,  If you've ever felt like you were alone in running your business, and could benefit from a "sounding board", a retainer relationship with BCP may be of benefit to your firm.  

Private Income Partners, Fund 1
We believe there continues to be a need in our industry for "friendly" capital that can help firms manage liquidity, succession or growth needs while maintaining local ownership and control.  In response to that need, we are currently in the process of raising capital for Fund 1, which will provide capital via a non-control, minority equity structure customized for each situation.
